If you know him you would understand, if you dont know him or you are some of the un-lucky folk who never have here is a glimpse. I met shaun at contacio bar in 07 out on the balcony overlooking the bleak streets of scarborough. With his rollie pouch at hand a half empty pint and a dress code that would some call unique, i sat down and shared a toke with the new and at the time un-familiar character. Time passed and the night became adventurous, we ran a muck.
I never thought id stumble across this character again. I didnt until my brother did, down at the beach. My brother came home and says to me ' mate the best bloke, i just met him at the beach, he invited me back to his house for a brew come down and meet him.' I just thought it would be some random surfer ready for a frothy, to my suprise it was shaun, the character i had met the night of contacio. Shaun became a close mate we played gigs together, hes a talented guitarist and amazing singer, we played a few gigs together at the local me on the sax, him on the blower. Hammer 'n' tong. After time passed shaun moved back east, hadnt seen him for a while until this morning my mum turns on tv to watch project runway. To my suprise i see the familiar face, Shaun had been sitting in the quite areas of melborne with his heshin bag in palm probly humming a melody to himself when michael from project runway asks if he would be his model. Shaun, a super friendly guy says 'why not.' I could not stop smiling when i watched my mate on tv model gear that actually made him shine. The funniest part, shaun did shine he stayed true and when asked on live tv how he enjoyed the experience he quoted " I FUCKING LOVED IT. FROTHING....THIS GET UPS GROOVY" i was in tears, laughing. The mate i had stumbled across hasnt changed, a true character, he is the soul of someone special.Cant wait to see him again to listen to his melodic chords.
